Well explained. But is this enough, to let the good people (if available) that are still in the parliament to do some good. Stick their neck out for the people and not for their own pockets or personal agendas with cronies.

- Greed is the strongest driving force is the political system here.
- Insecurity over their ability to win the seats over fair means is what they are now. They will not and NEVER let go of the advantage they have with the controlled medias, government agencies, GLC companies etc for funds, and political gains or even to receive tenders, where they award themselves with the project.

This gives the ruling REGIME the money and control when they own the rest of the country's cash cow machine.

Contesting of state and parliament seats is flawed and controlled to an extend by itself since the early days 40 years ago. This is basic statistics and equation to win majority for the ruling REGIME and at the same time making it unfair for any who will be opposing, not to mention control over the main stream media.

If we want to change something over a 40 years legacy making the system the way it is now. Don't think this is possible in the next 5 years. What the country needs is stronger people, a stronger opposition is not enough. Even when they takes seats, they will not have the control over majority of the entities, and the transition could be disastrous to the country.

As of 13th Feb 2008, We will have so called democracy for these 2-4 weeks. When the ruling government softens, do their fancy campaign, say nice things, visit homes, publish more group hug photos on controlled medias, hands holding between political parties and members of incumbent UMNO, MCA and MIC, projects gets approved instantly, saying Gong-Xi-Raya, blah blah blah, with over two months of so called political crap from the politically controlled medias.

This is called 'Divide and Conquer'. It's easier to sweet talk each individual race when they are only looked after by their own so called Political Party Representative.

In this century people don't talk about race anymore to move the country ahead. Then why is this country separating the parties out of races / religions? Ruling with a political system based on race and using religion to sell, makes it easier to win people's heart.

Keep up the good work! The ruling REGIME and the government may not mature over night. Maybe until a bank tells them "sorry datuk, I can't accept your money anymore, all our vault is not big enough to keep your money".
