At least four groups of people victimised by the BN ruling coalition will highlight their problemns in Ijok on the Nomination Day and throughout the by-election campaign. More groups have planned to show up after April 19.
I was informed by the Rawang resdients affected by the high tension towers that some 40 of them will be at Ijok to stage their protest against Ong Ka Ting, Chan Kong Choy and Tang See Hang and at the same time seeking Samy Vellu to resolve their problem.
The Bandar Mahkota Cheras residents who were badly affected by the blocked access road will also be there to pressure Samy Vellu for an answer. Samy has earlier promised the Opposition Leader Lim Kit Saing and Cheras MP Tan Kok Wai in the Parliament that he will resolve the matter but he has done nothing until today.
The Ulu Yam land grabbing victims ( where local MCA warlords were the culprits) will also be there, chasing after MCA leaders like Ong Ka Ting and Ch’ng Toh Eng for an answer.
Likewise, the SOS Damansara Action Committee will certainly show up like what they have done in Machap to pressure the Umno-led BN parties to reopen their school.
BERSIH will also be in Ijok tomorrow to educate the public why an electoral reform is important and necessary for greater democracy in Malaysia. Those who are “lucky” will be getting something unique and novel from the BERSIH group.
Selangor DAP will be forming a special campaign team to assist PKR throughout the campaign.
National DAP will be sending a high-level delegation on the Nomination Day for opposition unity and solidarity.

Latest: I was appointed as the Selangor DAP Ijok By-election Campaign Support Team Director. My two deputies are Peter Tan (State Vice Chairman) and T Kannan.
The appointment was announced by Selagor DAP Chairman Ean Yong Hian Wah today.
Meanwhile, DAP deputy chairman Dr Tan Seng Giaw will be leading the national DAP delegation to show our support and solidarity with PKR tomorrow. Other CEC members who will be accompanying Dr Tan are M.Kula, Lim Hock Seng, Apalasamy and Sivanesan.
I will certainly be there to coordinate with the NGOs and various rights groups. (Ronnie Liu 012 201 3656, Peter Tan 012 3322999, T Kannan 012 3060111)
Will MIC send their hooligans again to beat up our members and supporters in Ijok tomorrow? The police and the AG chamber have done nothing to punish the culprits in the Machap fracas until today.
We will try our level best to help Khalid to win Ijok for the opposition and pave the way for “something big” in Selangor in the coming general elections.
