Yes, it’s Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (Opposition) challenging K Partiban of MIC, one of the component parties of the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition.
This is not a personal fight between Khalid and Partiban. This is a fight between the Opposition and the Government parties.
Khalid is a good candidate. He may be new to politics but he has shown great courage in the recent OSA threat over the toll agreements incident. We hope Khalid could win Ijok with the help of …
1.support from the rakyat,
2.opposition unity and
3. NGO solidarity.

I think we do not have much choice here but let’s hope this khalid and most important Anwar are doing for the best of Malaysia. Sometimes is a risk we have to take but hey, I dont lose either , with BN, I really dont see what they have done without thinking for the citizens first! That’s is the problem with these people, always scared and dare not change…THEY HAVE FORGOTTEN IT IS THE CITIZEN THAT VOTE FOR THE GOVERMENT..If you dont like them sack them! SAME goes to the Opposition, if they failed to perform, sack them too!

So Please opposition, work hard retain all seats once you have won! Tony Pua is another new blood that I am going to bet on him!

All opposition and NGOs must back Khalid and ensure victory for PKR. Make Ijok a repeat of Lunas 7 years ago when PKR also defeated MIC with the help of all the opposition parties and NGOs.

The independent Indian candidate will split the Indian votes. I heard rumours that the MIC chief of Ijok and gang will support the independent Indian candidate (not sure true or not). So by fielding in Khalid, I guess PKR is concentrating on the Malay voters. A very wise move! Campaign efforts from PAS to woo more Malays will further help to secure a bigger chunk of votes from the Malay voters. DAP will also be instrumental in capturing some votes from the Chinese community of Ijok to give PKR the extra edge. I sincerely hope Tan Sri Khalid wins.

Note: The MIC chief of Ijok mentioned above is the one that recently resigned from his MIC post along with some branch leaders of the party.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
1 If you are not registered as a voter, do it now. The earlier you do
it, the better — as the Election Commission updates the electoral roll
on a quarterly basis. Persuade all your firends and relatives to
register as a voter as soon as possible, as an early general election
is possible.
2 If you are a registered voter, check your status to make sure you
have not been transferred elesewhere or taken off the electoral roll.
Ask your friends and relatives to do the same. Log on to
http://daftarj.spr.gov.my/daftarbi.asp
to check your status.
3 Be proactive and sign up as a polling agent. You will be stationed
at a polling station and be able to observe the voting process. You
task is to ensure that no irregularities or fraud (such as phantom
voting and multiple voting) takes place.
